Allegory of Winter

A cold and elusive beauty that must be tamed to be understood, stirring both passion and discontent in equal measure. Its slender silhouette soars like an immaculate, pristine horizon, bounded only by the first budding blossoms of spring. Undeniably icy, its scent nonetheless weaves in warm notes that hover delicately somewhere between nostalgia, comfort, and intimacy.

The Scented Herbarium

The herbarium is more than just a book containing treasures of dried flowers and plants. It is the delicate gesture of a botanist, the nostalgic gesture of a traveller, the wise gesture of a collector and the contemplative gesture of a lover.

On the Buly Express

“He who would travel happily must travel light” wrote Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in “Land of Men”. The Officine Universelle Buly is making it a matter of honour to contribute to your happiness by providing two new gift sets: The Little Traveller’s Beauty Kit and The Great Traveller’s Beauty Kit. They are sophisticated yet compact cases bearing your initials, carrying beauty essentials: a miniature bathroom that assists the traveller across the world.

A Short Guide to Spring Culinary Elegance

The taste of perfume, perfuming taste: the incongruous and subtle alliance of the goodness of senses

These checked tablecloths are curious. These wicker baskets are mischievous. They readily and quickly escape from wooden cupboards: spring is back. They set off to settle on the lawns, these naughty little heralds of the floral season. Should we follow them? Absolutely.

The Dawn of Spring at the Officine

First and foremost, for the proper writing - and reading! - of this dispatch, we must put our nose outside to acclimatise to a breeze still a little too chilly, to let ourselves be tamed by the few rays of sunshine, and lastly, to have a friendly chat with the neighbourhood birds. The cheeks are already tinged with colour, the body is energised and the senses are regaining their taste. The memory of the body is working eagerly, and spring is fondly reminding us what its presence feels like.

A day...that lasts Forever

It is difficult to capture the whole essence of a long love story in a single day, in a single celebration! This unique day - the wedding - will exist in the minds of those who celebrate it like images from a film, cherished moments made up of a thousand details, from comedy to drama, that parade on the big screen of memories.

new year's newsletter

2024. Adding up each of these numbers, the result is "8". Doesn't the number eight formalize that mathematical infinity that everyone apprehends, sometimes questions, sometimes venerates? An arithmetical hurricane that forces us to refocus on ourselves and the truth of our path...

The War of Pimples

We’re not talking about making a diversion nor concealing here: we’re talking about treating. L’Officine Universelle Buly professes that the best foundation is, by far, a good skin. Get to know our strategies to defy your skin’s nature and the consequences of your everyday life.

Beyond the Rainbow

A spectacular phenomenon that appears in the skies when the sun shines during a downpour, the rainbow has always fascinated by its beauty, its elusiveness and above all, its mystery. Literally forming a majestic bridge of light between earth and sky, it has inspired beliefs and religions across the world.

A Beauty Journey inside Agatha Christie's novels

The link between Queen of Crime Agatha Christie and the world of beauty seems tenuous at first, but if you look at her beginnings as a novelist, it starts making sense. In 1966, she told the New York Times: "I got my plots in the tub, (…) just sitting there thinking, undisturbed, and lining the rim with apple cores." Hot baths did indeed bring her inspiration, the fruit of her imagination then scribbled in notebooks she scrupulously left in her bathroom and every room of her home, Greenway House, in Devon. The result? 66 crime novels, of which more than two billion copies were sold worldwide.
