This is undoubtedly an exercise resulting from the principles of goldsmithing. Twelve steps are necessary to manufacture each comb of the Officine Universelle Buly.
The process begins with the cutting of acetate according to the template of the chosen model. The shaping then consists of adjusting the acetate to the design of the comb. Polishing and dulling are then necessary steps to round off the angles and sharpen the teeth. The manufacture of the comb continues with the meticulous making of the teeth: the acetate is sawed to draw the teeth that are then faceted.
Ultimate beauty treatment: the sanding smoothes the surface and rounds the tips of the teeth. Lastly, the comb is brushed.
The steam bath gives shine and the polishing carried out by the expert hands of the craftsman complete this high-quality product of great merit.

Gentleness, precision and patience are the watchwords to successful detangling. There is no need to force your way through or handle the comb vigorously. Patience and gentleness are the keys to taming and caring for any hairstyle or beard

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
This comb should be cleaned using a soft cloth and a little water.
A little tip known to all opticians: as acetate is a natural fibre, it should be moisturised twice a year using a rich substance such as shea or coconut butter.
Do not expose the acetate of this comb to sudden changes in temperature or to high temperatures (direct sunlight, hot water, etc.).

Cellulose acetate comb

Cellulose acetate, a luxurious material, was invented in 1865 by Paul Schützenberger and then perfected at the very beginning of the 20th century by two Swiss chemists Camille and Henri Dreyfus. This biopolymer, based on cotton, has several properties that make it the perfect component for Officine combs: It is hypoallergenic and highly resistant to mould. From an environmental perspective, acetate is biodegradable and can even be slowly composted.

The Officine Universelle Buly envisages in-store collection and delivery by courier for the city of Paris as well as delivery in France and internationally with the carrier DHL.

APPLICABLE FEES
Shipping fees vary depending on the total amount of the order and the delivery destination. Preparation and packaging fees are free of charge. We recommend that you group all your items into a single order. We cannot group two orders placed separately, and shipping fees apply to each of them.
Our team will do its best to meet the delivery times indicated. However, Buly cannot be held responsible for delays due to service suspensions by our carriers or customs procedures for international shipments.
Please note that our shipping costs do not include customs fees, which may be charged by certain countries and over which we unfortunately have no control.

POLICY RETURN

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to return your products. Items must be returned unused and unopened, in their original packaging, along with any gifts or samples you may have received with your order.

CONDITIONS OF RETURN

Please note the following conditions apply to all returns:

• Customised or engraved products cannot be returned or exchanged.

• All items must be returned in their original, unopened packaging. Products that have been opened, used, or damaged will not be accepted.

• Any gifts or samples received at the time of purchase must be included in the return package.

• In the event of a partial return, only the price of the returned products will be refunded. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

• We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with the above conditions.
