Description

Also called “wild marshmallow”, marshmallow is a perennial herbaceous species of the Malvaceae family, very widespread in Europe. It is a large woolly plant with long stems whose leaves are popular in cosmetics for the preparation of natural and emollient beauty treatments. Marshmallow powder is obtained after fine grinding of its leaves.

In addition, its soothing benefits for the epidermis, it is also appreciated for its detangling and sheathing action on the hair. On contact with water, marshmallow powder turns into a gel, enabling you to make plant-based masks for face and hair.

Thanks to its composition rich in mucilage, plant substances that swell on contact with water, marshmallow powder becomes gelatine that is beneficial for the skin and keratin.

Marshmallow powder is excellent for sensitive, dehydrated and reactive skin. It is also recommended for the care of all hair types.

Advice for Use & Care

Daily Care
To hydrate and coat the hair, spray a mist infused with marshmallow powder throughout the day. In a sprayer, mix a teaspoon of powder with a few drops of your favourite plant oil and then add some Eau Ionisée Hygiénique Rectifiée, as desired.

Treatment Care
When the hair is weakened and dull, mix a tablespoon of marshmallow powder with a tablespoon of broccoli oil. This mask brings a new radiance and thoroughly strengthens the hair fibre.

Occasional Care
For radiance and hydration of hair and skin, mix a tablespoon of hibiscus powder, a tablespoon of marshmallow powder with your favourite plant oil. Obtain a paste that is neither too thick nor too liquid and then leave it on the hair and face. Promise and due radiance, intense shine and deep hydration…

AFTER-SUN MASK

Mix a tablespoon of marshmallow powder, a teaspoon of shea butter, a few drops of Eau Ionisée Hygiénique Rectifiée with a tablespoon of aloe vera oil. Apply all over the face and hair and leave the mixture on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
