Description

This dry oil is a perfect nectar for the skin. Composed of three natural plant oils, it possesses a cumulative beneficial effect: the more you use it, the more the skin transforms due to its shaping and moisturizing effects. Sesame oil is a unique treasure: it was the world’s first vegetable extract in Mesopotamia, 3,500 years ago. It has softening qualities and is extremely easily absorbed. Fortified with antioxidants – Vitamin E, lecithin and sesamolin – it protects the skin against ageing. As for apricot oil, it strengthens the skin’s hydrolipidic layer and prevents dehydration. Finally, in this protective trio, comes coconut oil, which softens, tones, and restores unparalleled radiance, thanks to the presence of Vitamins E, K and its rich iron content.

In 1834, Jean-Vincent Bully added Huile Antique to his beauty catalogue, inspired by Ancient Greek cosmetic practices and restorative skincare from thermal baths. This treatment, highly popular at the beginning of the 19th century, when there was a vogue for all things evoking Antiquity, was reinvented and brought up to date by the Officine.

Scent

A perfume whose perfection has often been recounted. Mexican Tuberose Eau aims for perfection: to seize the scent of the blossoming, sumptuous flower, rounded out by vanilla and a touch of musk, Ylang and spices to bring out its beauty. A composition which illuminates the flower, its great delicacy, luxuriant and light at the same time. “Mexican Tuberose” is a guilty pleasure that brings simple happiness, like a ray of sunshine on your skin under the Tropical sun.
The queen of white flowers is also called Madonna Lily, or Hawaiian Tuberose, Polianthes Tuberosa was cultivated by the Aztecs before Louis XIV fell madly in love with it. Almost dangerously seductive, it has always been considered to be an erotic and sensual flower.

Advice for Use & Care

Huile Antique can be applied all over the body, on slightly damp skin, after a shower or bath. Massage from the feet up to the neckline area, spending some extra time on the heels, knees and elbows.

Composition

Huile Antique is a mixture of naturally beautifying oils – sesame, apricot, and coconut – with squalene, a vegetable extract from olive oil. Through its biomimetic action, it possesses a natural affinity for the epidermis, and plays the role of a natural emollient.

Apply after using our scented hand and body wash, Huile de Savon. Two different scents may be used in combination: the different fragrances are designed to create a perfect harmony together. Dry to the touch, this is a much-appreciated quality.
