Description

This accessory is essential for any horse rider who wishes to enter their horse into the hair excellence awards. As sturdy as it is large, it allows for a firm and comfortable grip while its wide teeth enable effective combing along the entire length of the mane.

The Horse rider Comb can be carried wherever the horse has to prove itself – not only in equestrian but also in... aesthetic terms. Lace manes, braids, pawns and other horsehair adornments will no longer hold any secrets for you and above all, they will leave no judge indifferent. As there is nothing more elegant and efficient than a well-groomed horse! Gold medal guaranteed for the hair obstacle, hoping that the jump does not get the better of your efforts.

Carved from a block of very high-quality acetate, it is shaped, sculpted and polished by hand. The teeth and notches are specially designed to avoid damaging the hairs of the mane. Made from plant fibres, the tortoiseshell-coloured acetate reveals a unique pattern, specific to each comb.

GREAT BENEFITS

The horse rider is gifted with the most elegant of distinctions: personalisation. Nickname, sobriquet, competition name... Here is the name of your horse engraved in gold lettering on the front of the comb, allowing you to claim full ownership.

TYpes of manes

All types of manes, short or long, single or double.

The Officine's prowess

This is undoubtedly an exercise resulting from the principles of goldsmithing. Twelve steps are necessary to manufacture each comb of the Officine Universelle Buly. The process begins with the cutting of acetate according to the template of the chosen model. The shaping then consists of adjusting the acetate to the design of the comb. Polishing and dulling are then necessary steps to round off the angles and sharpen the teeth. The manufacture of the comb continues with the meticulous making of the teeth: the acetate is sawed to draw the teeth that are then faceted.

Ultimate beauty treatment: the sanding smooths the surface and rounds the tips of the teeth. Lastly, the comb is brushed.

The steam bath gives shine and the polishing carried out by the expert hands of the craftsman complete this high-quality product of great merit.

Advice for Use & Care

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The mane of a horse is known (like its owner) to be capricious. It therefore requires special attention and regular and meticulous combing.

Firstly, untangle the mane by hand with care, proceeding strand by strand along the length of the mane. Complete the combing with the La Cavalière comb to remove any small remaining knots and give the mane shine and suppleness. Lastly, use the comb to part the mane and create the most epic of braids.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This comb can be cleaned with a cloth and a little water. A little tip known to great purists, being a natural fiber, acetate* must be moisturized twice a year with a rich product such as shea or coconut butter.

It is not recommended to expose acetate to sudden changes in temperature or to high temperatures (direct sunlight, hot water, etc.).

* Cellulose acetate is a luxurious material invented in 1865 by Paul Schützenberger and then perfected at the beginning of the 20th century by two Swiss chemists, Camille and Henry Dreyfus. Generally extracted from cotton, this natural polymer is inherently endowed with several properties that make it the perfect component for Buly combs: hypoallergenic, it resists mould. From an ecological perspective, acetate is biodegradable and can even slowly compost.

Whisper tender words in the horse's ear during grooming time to bring him peace and serenity. This gesture is transformed into a moment filled with gentleness, trust and love between horse and rider.
