Fournival Altesse is a French hairbrush designer and manufacturer that has been carrying on the tradition of the brush maker's trade for six generations thanks to an ancestral knowhow applied in accordance with the highest standards of excellence. Located in the heart of the Th making, Maison Fournival was established in 1875, and used to make toothbrushes from ox or horse femur bones, and even ivory. In 1920, the company specialised in the manufacture of premium quality, luxury hairbrushes, entirely shaped and assembled by hand. Advice for Use & Care

The best barbers recommend brushing in the direction of the beard from top to bottom. It is highly inadvisable to brush a beard that is still wet beard, which could weaken it.
However, we do recommend the use of a natural oil, in particular camellia oil, is highly highly recommended to give the hair a silky appearance.
Ideally, a beard should be carefully brushed twice a day.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Fournival brushes last a lifetime, provided you take good care of them.

Brushes accumulate a variety of dirt and other undesirable elements over time, which affect the beauty of the brush and the hair. After each brushing, remove the trapped hair with the Officine cleaning rake and deep-clean the fibres once a week, following these sincere recommendations: lather a dab of mild shampoo in warm water and immerse the fibres, moving back and forth in a figure-of-eight pattern four times. Rinse the fibres with warm water and wrap the brush in a dry cloth. Finally, leave the beautiful brush to breathe and air dry.

The Officine Recommendation

Moisten the beard with Ionised Water before applying a few drops of broccoli oil in the palm of your hand. In order to speed up absorption, massage backwards and then in the direction of the hair. Complete the sculpting step by brushing the beard using a suitable brush or an officer's brush.
