Description

This dry oil is a perfect nectar for the skin. Composed of three natural plant oils, it possesses a cumulative beneficial effect: the more you use it, the more the skin transforms due to its shaping and moisturizing effects. Sesame oil is a unique treasure: it was the world’s first vegetable extract in Mesopotamia, 3,500 years ago. It has softening qualities and is extremely easily absorbed. Fortified with antioxidants – Vitamin E, lecithin and sesamolin – it protects the skin against ageing. As for apricot oil, it strengthens the skin’s hydrolipidic layer and prevents dehydration. Finally, in this protective trio, comes coconut oil, which softens, tones, and restores unparalleled radiance, thanks to the presence of Vitamins E, K and its rich iron content.

In 1834, Jean-Vincent Bully added Huile Antique to his beauty catalogue, inspired by Ancient Greek cosmetic practices and restorative skincare from thermal baths. This treatment, highly popular at the beginning of the 19th century, when there was a vogue for all things evoking Antiquity, was reinvented and brought up to date by the Officine.

The Eau Triple Maltese Iris invokes the joy and zenith of the Mediterranean in a stimulating armful, carried by the zesty temperance of lemongrass and orange blossom. A solar waltz in four beats, where the dissonance of one creates the balance of the whole. With its woody, almost mysterious facet, Patchouli incenses the skin and the skies, while the pretty, powdery iris parades its letters of nobility. This voluptuous harem, where the senses intertwine and the notes harmonise, gives birth to sweetest of perfumes: a reminiscence of childhood, of clean linen waltzing between the sun and the warm island breeze

Advice for Use & Care

Huile Antique can be applied all over the body, on slightly damp skin, after a shower or bath. Massage from the feet up to the neckline area, spending some extra time on the heels, knees and elbows.

Composition

Huile Antique is a combination of naturally beautifying oils - sesame, apricot and coconut - with squalene, a plant-derived ingredient extracted from olive oil. Thanks to its biomimetic action, it has a high affinity with the epidermis and acts as a natural emollient.
